Overview

The appellate law team has handled cases involving individuals, businesses, municipalities, state agencies, product manufacturers, mining companies. These cases cover a wide range of issues dealing with city ordinances and liquor licenses, civil rights, labor and employment issues, allegations of insurance bad faith, and personal injury and wrongful death in vehicle accidents, product liability, and medical malpractice.

At Shuman, McCuskey & Slicer, PLLC we represent local, regional, and nationally-based clients from nearly every area of our practice before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. John F. McCuskey, a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, leads our appellate team that consists of accomplished litigators with both trial and appellate law experience related to their practice areas.
